Legal Encyclopaedias

Rule AGLC 7.7 (AGLC4)

Online legal encyclopaedias are cited as follows:

Publisher - The publisher's name should adhere to rule 6.3.1.

Title of encylopaedia, (online at date of retrieval)- Italicise the title, put at date of retrieval in round brackets.

Title Number Name of Title, 

Chapter number and name- In single quotation marks

Paragraph -  In square brackets

Examples:

Westlaw AU,The Laws of Australia (online at 1 March 2019) 15 Equity, '15.2 Fiduciaries' [15.2.900].

LexisNexis, Halsbury’s Laws of Australia (online at 17 April 2018) 135 Damages, ‘8 Damages for Personal Injury’ [135-850].

Oxford University Press, Max Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law (online at 20 June 2019) 'Abuse of Rights' [14].
