Downloadable list of authorised report series for each jurisdiction. Also includes court abbreviations.

In each Australian jurisdiction there is one series of law reports designated as authorised. It is standard practice for cases from the authorised law reports series to be used in court and cited in written publications.

AGLC Rule 2.3.1 requires that where a case is reported in an authorised series, this series should be cited in preference to any other reported version. If the case has not been reported in an authorised law report, but has been reported in another law report, you should use this citation. If the case has not been reported anywhere then you should cite the unreported judgment.
