The Oxfordian is the annual journal published during the fall by the Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship. The Oxfordian is a professional publication that features papers providing in-depth coverage of issues of importance to Shakespeare scholars. The Oxfordian welcomes submission of learned essays on three interrelated topics: important literary works of the early modern period in English literature; Shakespeare studies, and authorship issues.

Shakespeare Bulletin is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal which publishes articles at the cutting edge of Shakespearean and early modern performance studies and theatre history. The journal also publishes theatre, film and book reviews, providing a record of performance and scholarship in a variety of media throughout the world.

Multicultural Shakespeare is an international journal devoted to Shakespearean studies; it is a forum in which researchers, especially those from non-English-speaking backgrounds, can air local concerns and themes that contribute to the creation and understanding of Shakespeare as global phenomenon.

Shakespeare Quarterly (SQ) is a leading journal in Shakespeare studies, publishing highly original, rigorously researched essays, notes, and book reviews. Published for the Folger Shakespeare Library by Oxford University Press, SQ is peer-reviewed and extremely selective. The essays published span the field, including scholarship about new media and early modern race, textual and theater history, ecocritical and posthuman approaches, psychoanalytic and other theories, and archival and historicist work.

Shakespeare in Southern Africa is published annually. The journal carries research articles, essays, commentary, interviews, and book, theatre and film reviews. It has a particular emphasis on – but its content is not limited to – responses to Shakespeare in southern Africa. Submissions are reviewed by at least two referees (the practice of ‘blind’ reviewing is adhered to).

Shakespeare publishes articles drawn from the best international research on the most recent developments in Shakespearean criticism, historical and textual scholarship, and performance. The journal promotes the goal of the British Shakespeare Association to bridge the gap between literary and performance based criticism of Shakespeare, and provides an outlet for Shakespeare research undertaken to the very highest standards from around the world. Without privileging any particular critical approaches, methodologies, or theories, the journal welcomes all contributions that throw light upon Shakespeare, his works, and his world, in his time and through to the present day.
