English Language & Literature

Reference sources

Reference sources are fantastic materials you can use to begin your research, especially if you know very little about the subject you're exploring.

They can help you to:

  • Define your topic in general terms
  • Find broad general information, including themes and key points
  • Identify relevant keywords, terms, and concepts, all of which can be used to both conceptualize and search for information on your subject.

The online titles which appear in this section are updated on a regular basis, and contain substantial, authoritative entries, all of which are authored by academics and other English language and literature experts.
