ANU Library has a range of support guides and services to assist you in developing your research and study skills, such as:

  • Finding books and more
    • This guide will equip you with the skills needed to find a vast range of books and other materials using the ANU Library catalogue.
  • Using Google scholar from off-campus
    • A guide for off-campus users to ensure your Google Scholar searches include links to material held in the ANU Library collection.
  • Digital research
    • The ANU Library collection contains a massive range of digital items, accessed via a broad range of scholarly databases and full text e-journals. This session will teach you to find and use a selection of these online resources.
  • Finding journal articles and more
    • This guide will help you use scholarly journals to find relevant articles and enhance your existing knowledge of a subject.
  • Finding theses
    • This guide will help you find ANU, Australian, and international theses.
  • Citations and abstracts
    • Learn how to create a citation that contains the information required to identify sources.

    • Schedule a consultation with to learn the essential digital skills for studying. These appointments are intended for beginners and those unfamiliar with using ANU systems (e.g. emails, file management, formatting, computer use, and more).
