The Archives holds few official University records relating to the War in South Vietnam. One example is - ANUA 53 items 4.1.0.22 1-3 and C, Australian National University Registration for National Service, which covers compulsory military service, draft evasion, anti-war protests, and the Australian National University’s relationship with the Holt, Gorton and McMahon governments between 1962 and 1975.

Some ANU academics, such as the distinguished historian Emeritus Professor David Marr, have studied Vietnamese history and culture in this period. See below for samples of his work available to view from our collection.

ANUA 669: Posters from the Vietnam War, 1930s - 1990s. A collection of posters, calendars and artworks (mixed prints and originals) focusing largely on the Vietnam War. The perspectives of the material are mixed, with work coming from North and South Vietnam, Europe (mostly France and Russia), Australia and The United States.
