L'italiano al cinema, l'italiano nel cinema = Italian at the cinema, Italian in the cinema

World Italian Language Week - Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo - is held during the third week of October each year.

The aim of this week is to promote and spread Italian language and culture abroad. The Italian government, through its diplomatic network and cultural centres, proposes a certain theme for the week.

In 2017, the theme was L'italiano al cinema, l'italiano nel cinema (Italian at the cinema, Italian in the cinema).

To mark this event, the ANU Library created this guide to highlight resources available in the Library collection on the history of Italian cinema and the use of Italian language in films from 1895 to the present day.

Buon divertimento!
