ORCID iD

How do I get an ORCID iD?

Getting an ORCID iD is a quick and easy process.

For Staff and HDR students:

 

1. Go to RP+ Portal

2. Select “Create or Connect your ORCID id”

  • Tick the box – Pure is allowed to read public and limited visibility items on my ORCID record (Required to proceed)
  • Tick the box – I hereby allow Pure to export content on my behalf

                  And then click on “Proceed"

3. Sign in to ORCID if you have an ORCID account, your ORCID will be added to RP+ Portal

4. If you do not have an ORCID account, you can create one now by filling in the details as required. You will be asked to give RP+ Portal (or Pure) permission to add/update your ORCID account.

 

For other Students (undergraduate and master by course work):

 

1. Go to https://orcid.org/register

2. Fill in the form as required, add your ANU affiliation and make sure your settings are set to public.

3. After receiving your validation email you can then login again and enhance your ORCID record.
