The Library includes law reports, legislation and gazettes from the Australian States and New Zealand, some of which are ‘recovered’ cases from newspaper reports. It also contains a database of law journals and legal scholarship concerning the colonial era.

The Library is being developed as part of an ARC funded infrastructure (LIEF) grant entitled "The Australasian Legal History Library".
