Read and Publish (RAP) agreements are ‘transformative’ agreements that combine the cost of reading (closed, subscription access) and publishing (Article Processing Charges (APCs)). The end goal of RAP agreements is a fully open access publishing environment.
In 2024, the ANU Library is participating in 18 RAP agreements, which will enable Australian National University (ANU) authors to publish accepted articles into eligible journals without any APCs. These agreements are:
- American Institute of Physics Publishing (AIPP)
- American Psychological Association (APA)
- Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)
- Brill
- Cambridge University Press
- Company of Biologists
- CSIRO
- Elsevier
- Future Science
- Institute of Physics Publishing (IOPP)
- John Benjamins Publishing
- Microbiology Society
- Oxford University Press
- Portland Press Biochemical Society
- SAGE
- Springer Nature
- Taylor & Francis
- Wiley
Details for each of these agreements, including information for authors, can be accessed via the navigation tabs of this guide.
Please see the list of all included journals in Read and Publish Agreements administered by the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL). *Please note this list contains journals from all agreements administered by CAUL, some journals may not be covered by the University's RAP initiatives.
