Publishers

There are varying requirements and licensing arrangements for different text collections and data sets. Some publishers provide application programming interfaces (APIs) that must be used, whilst other publishers may require specific tools or technologies and some publishers will require case by case negotiation of use.

A listing of major publishers and their policies is provided. Please contact our Electronic Resources team prior to commencing to consider if there are any license restrictions or requirements.

PLOS API
PLOS supports the development of applications for the web, desktop or mobile devices that incorporate the data returned from the PLOS Search API or PLOS Article-Level Metrics API.
