Located in the heart of Melbourne's Federation Square, ACMI (formerly Australian Centre for the Moving Image) celebrates the wonder and power of the world’s most democratic art form – fostering the next generation of makers, players and watchers. ACMI’s vibrant calendar of exhibitions, screenings, commissions, festivals, and industry and education programs explore the stories, technologies and artists that create our shared screen culture.

Established in 1871, the Gallery houses a fine collection of contemporary and historic art, from Australia and around the world. There are also dedicated galleries celebrating the arts of Asia, the Pacific, and Australia's First Nations.

A collecting archives with internationally significant holdings of records from Australian business, trade unions, professional associations, industry bodies and individuals, the ANU Archives also houses the Pacific Research Archives, the National AIDS Archive and historical records of the Australian National University. The Archives provides access to this diverse range of historically significant materials to support research by the University community and the general public. A number of collections are listed on the Australian UNESCO Memory of the World Register.

Combines a shrine, a world-class museum, and an extensive archive. Its purpose is to commemorate the sacrifice of those Australians who have died in war or on operational service and those who have served the nation in times of conflict. Its mission is leading remembrance and understanding of Australia’s wartime experience.

MAGNT is the Northern Territory’s premier cultural organisation. Their principal facility since 1981 is on Larrakia Land at Bullocky Point in Darwin, home to internationally renowned cultural and scientific collections, as well as research and exhibition programs.

Australia’s leading national visual arts institution. Since the building opened to the public in 1982, the Gallery has played a leadership role in shaping visual arts culture across Australia and the region, and continues to develop new ways to engage audiences through its artistic, educational, and public programs.

The NGV is the oldest gallery in Australia. Housed in two buildings – NGV International and NGV Australia – the gallery hosts a wide range of international and local artists, exhibitions, programs, and events. These range from contemporary art to major international historic exhibitions, fashion and design, architecture, sound, and dance.

The NMA brings to life the rich and diverse stories of Australia, through culturally significant objects, ideas, and events. They focus on Indigenous histories and cultures, European settlement, and the Australian environment.

QAGOMA comprises two galleries with their own distinct personalities, but united in their purpose to share exceptional art. Queensland Art Gallery was established in 1895 and moved to its current residence at South Bank in 1982. It was joined by the Gallery of Modern Art in 2006, and the galleries now house a globally significant collection of contemporary art from Australia, Asia, and the Pacific.

Sydney Living Museums cares for a group of twelve of the most important historic houses, gardens, and museums in NSW. Their purpose is to enrich and revitalise people’s lives with Sydney’s living history, and to hand the precious places in their care on to future generations to enjoy.

TMAG is Tasmania's leading natural and cultural heritage organisation. It is a combined museum, art gallery, and herbarium which safeguards the physical evidence of Tasmania's natural and cultural heritage, and the cultural identity of Tasmanians. TMAG is Australia's second-oldest museum, and has its origins in the collections of Australia's oldest scientific society, the Royal Society of Tasmania, established in 1843.

The Western Australian Museum is the State’s premier cultural organisation, housing WA’s scientific and cultural collection. For over 120 years the Museum has been making the State's natural and social heritage accessible and engaging through research, exhibitions and public programs. Today, the Museum has seven public locations across Western Australia – and a Collections and Research Centre that houses more than eight million objects.
