Talk data to me

About this module

Are you looking to make your mark by publishing your research data? Are your
required to provide a data management plan as part of your grant application? Need
to get your head around data policies, metadata, DOIs, ORCIDs, licensing for reuse
and data citation? Or, maybe you just want to know more about big data and
managing your data throughout your research project. This module is for you!

The Talk data to me module is made up of four topics:

  1. Research data management
  2. Plan, manage and publish
  3. Describer, share and store
  4. Find, cite and explore

Each topic is like an interactive textbook, featuring one or more pre-recorded videos, a quiz and suggested additional resources and case studies to help you gain a better understanding of the topic.

This is a self-paced course, which means that all of the content is available and you are free to move ahead, or pick and choose content, at your own pace.

This Talk data to me module provides you with materials regarding:

  • open science and open data
  • data management plans
  • funders and data management
  • data publication
  • big data and machine learning
  • data licensing and sharing
  • attribution and citing data
  • finding and using data.
