EndNote 20

Zotero

Zotero is a free, open-source reference management application, designed to collect, store, share, manage, and cite sources. Zotero has a single, stand-alone application for users of all browsers. The Zotero Connector for Firefox, Chrome, or Safari, allows saving to the application or zotero.org in a single click.

Zotero can save you time by helping you organise and keep track of your research:

  • It crawls websites to create records.
  • You can download Zotero to multiple computers, and keep using it after you have left the ANU.
  • Supports a large library of citation styles and reference types.
  • You can sync your Zotero library to the cloud, and between computers. It also allows for the sharing of references between accounts.
  • It works with your word processor by installing a Zotero menu.
  • Allows you to tag and arrange your references.

At the ANU, Zotero is recommended for Law students and those using the AGLC (Australian Guide to Legal Citation) referencing style.
