Finding Books and More

SuperSearch

What is SuperSearch?

SuperSearch is a portal that provides a single search across the entire library collection. It searches all kinds of resources including journals; newspapers; books and book chapters; reviews; dissertations; electronic resources; and more.

Tips for using SuperSearch can be found on our website or ask for assistance from the Information Desk in any library branch.

Example search - SuperSearch

In the example below, we are searching for content which includes the terms eco-tourism AND Australia. We used the Content Type filter to refine our search to include only books/ebooks, book chapters and book reviews.

There are many filter options available on SuperSearch, including:

  • SCHOLARSHIP: search for material that meets specific criterea (e.g. Full Text Online; Scholarly & Peer Reviewed; Open Access)
  • PUBLICATION DATE: search within a specific date range (e.g. enter a custom time frame, use the slider, or select predefined options)
  • DISCIPLINE: search within a specific discipline (e.g. geography; business; ecology)
  • SUBJECT TERMS: refine your search by subject area (e.g. tourism; national parks; travel industry)
  • LANGUAGE: refine by language of content
  • LIBRARY LOCATION: refine by location of content (e.g. a library branch; the Print Repository; our digital collections)
