The Institute of Public Policy Studies (IPPS) is an independent agency engaged in policy research, policy advocacy and political education to foster the development of participatory democracy. Since its founding in 1985, the Institute has been supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
Mekong River Commission collects and manages a range of data and information such as drought monitoring, water quality monitoring, hydrology & river monitoring, Climate change and adaptation and flood monitoring & forecasting.
The collection covers all subject areas, and is especially strong in the fields of humanities and social sciences. There is an extensive collection of Thai cremation volumes (memorial biographical works published to mark a notable person’s death).

The site has devoted its attention to the politics and societies of Southeast Asia, originally focusing on Thailand and Myanmar. Over the years it focus has extended to Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, East Timor and Singapore, and has featured writing from China’s Yunnan Province and Bangladesh. New Mandala also runs a successful book review series.
