US State Department Country Reports on Human Rights Practices
Universal Periodic Review
A unique mechanism of the United Nations which started in April 2008 and consists of the review of the human rights practices of all States in the world, once every four years.
World Refugee Survey
U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. Information presented in the World Refugee Survey is analyzed in a five-part format distilled from the rights of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and evaluates each country's performance on: (1) Refoulement and Physical Protection; (2) Detention and Access to Courts; (3) Freedom of Movement and Residence; (4) Right to Earn a Livelihood; and, (5) Public Relief and Education.
