What is a mobile site?
A mobile site has been optimised for viewing by a mobile device. It usually has a "stripped down" appearance to make it quicker to download and easier to view on a smaller screen. Mobile sites can be accessed from any mobile web browser regardless of the type of device.
What is an app?
"App" is short for "application". A mobile app is a program designed for a specific device. An app must be downloaded and installed before it can be used. Apps are usually device or operating-system dependent - for example, a program may be available as an Android application or an iPhone app.
